Separate Collection

Electrical and electronic devices that have become waste are referred to as waste equipment. Waste equipment must not be disposed of with regular household waste but must be taken to designated separate collection systems. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the device indicates that it must be separately collected at end of life.

Batteries and Accumulators

Batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste equipment must be removed from the device before returning it to a collection point.

Return Options

As a consumer, you can return waste equipment to public waste management collection points or to manufacturer or retailer return locations. A directory of collection and return points near you is available at:

Data Security

It is the responsibility of each end user to delete personal data stored on devices before returning them for disposal.
